Vulnerability to Climate-Related Changes
Flooding is becoming a serious and routine problem in the Lowcountry. Heavy rains and rising sea levels have exacerbated the amount of flooding in vulnerable areas. Flooding events and chronic flooding have dangerous and long-lasting effects. It can cause damage to infrastructure and homes, displace families, and directly threaten individuals. People have a right to protection from dangerous and damaging levels of flooding.
